  •  At the 2014 Good Food Awards, Glendale Shepherd of Clinton, WA, won an award for their Island Brebis raw sheep’s milk tome, while Sequatchie Cove Creamery of Sequatchie, TN, won an award for their Dancing Fern, a soft cheese made with raw milk from the farm’s Devon cows.
  • Consider Bardwell Farm in West Pawlet, VT, was announced 2013 US Cheese Championship Winners for its Dorset and Rupert cheeses.
  • Barinaga Ranch in Marshall, CA, received a silver medal at the World Cheese Awards 2013, held in London, UK, for their Txiki cheese. There were over 2,770 entrants from across the world.
  • Green Dirt Farm in Weston, MO, took home five awards for their cheeses and sheep’s milk yogurt at the 2013 American Cheese Society Awards, including two first places for its Dirt Lover and Fresh Plain cheeses.
  • Rain Crow Ranch in Doniphan, MO, was named the 2013 Reserve Champion of the American Royal Steak Competition in the grass-finished category.

  • Big Picture Farm in Townshend, VT, and Weirauch Farm and Creamery in Petaluma, CA, won an award at the 2013 Good Food Awards for their creamy and sweet homemade Goat Milk Chai Caramels and Saint Rose unpasteurized farmstead sheep cheese, respectively.
  • Hunter Cattle Company in Brooklet, GA, took home the trophy for best meat product in the 2013 “Flavor of Georgia” contest, blowing away the judges with their homemade pork sausage.
  • Frances Huber of Brush Creek Farm in Ennice, NC, earned Runner-Up in the 2013 North Carolina Outstanding Conservation Farm Family award—the first individual woman to earn the award, which recognizes dedication to the environment and wildlife protection.
  • Consider Bardwell and Wayward Goose farms, of West Pawlet, VT, jointly won the 2013 Vermont Sustainable Agriculture Council Award in recognition of their work to promote sustainability and environmental stewardship.
  • Kevin and Debi Bredeson of KDL Ranch in Kiowa, CO, were named 2013 Conservationists of the Year by the Kiowa Conservation District (in partnership with the National Resource Conservation Service) in recognition of their impact on conservation and good land stewardship.
